I've Heard...

I’ve heard…

That cats and dogs are opposite
But I don’t believe it, not one little bit
Animals they are through and through
they run for the bacon and beg, steal and chew.

I’ve heard…

That a dinosaur became a bird!
But I don’t believe it, not one little word
T Rex to chickens? Arms to wings?
A two ton robin or a dino that sings?

I’ve heard…

All life comes from primordial goo
But I don't' believe it, it just isn't true
A carrot from a carrot, a rat from a rat
A shark from a shark and that is that.

I've heard...

God created it all, in six literal days
Now that I believe, because Genesis says,
God spoke, it was done, there was day there was night,
There was earth, there was time, there was darkness and light
There was sky and atmosphere, dry land and seas
Grass, fruit and vegetables, seeds and the trees.
The moon and the stars and the sun that shone,
The birds and the fish and the deer to bear fawn,
And then came the pinnacle, of God's Creation week,
The man named Adam into whom God would speak
The image of God - no animal was he
And that is true also of you and of me.

Genesis 1:26,27
Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, in Our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in His own image,
in the image of God He created them;
male and female He created them.
